Accessibility Audit
Paste a URL and get a structured accessibility report generated by the M.ai agent.
What This Does
Accessibility Audit is an annotation engine powered by the M.ai agent that transforms a URL into structured insights.
You paste a URL. The tool:
- Visits the page and captures a screenshot
- Builds an element inventory (buttons, links, inputs, headings, images, landmarks, tables)
- Runs automated checks against WCAG 2.1 principles using axe-core
- Maps findings to visible UI elements with bounding boxes
- Generates a structured report with severity, reasoning, and suggested fixes
- Lets you export to PDF or Markdown for sharing
- Gives you an M.ai context payload so you can ask follow-up questions in M.ai about specific findings
Core Concept
This is not just a scanner—it’s an observe → structure → annotate → explain engine. Accessibility is the first use case. The same architecture later supports UX reviews, dark pattern audits, and security-UX reviews.
Report Includes
- Element Inventory: Every interactive, structural, and media element on the page with role, name, and bounding box
- Accessibility Findings: WCAG violations mapped to specific elements
- Severity: Critical (blocks access), Serious (degrades experience), Moderate (confusing), Minor (polish)
- Why It Matters: Plain language explanation of real-world impact
- Suggested Fix: Concrete next steps (code changes, design token updates, structure fixes)
- Screenshots: Annotated with element overlays and issue highlights (future)
Limitations (v0)
- Single page only (no multi-page crawl yet)
- Automated checks only (manual review recommended for nuance)
- No saved history or user accounts
- Free during beta (pay option coming later)
FAQ
Can I use this for my client’s site? Yes. The tool is public and free. Export the report and share with your team.
Is this a replacement for full accessibility testing? No. Automated tools catch ~30% of issues. This tool is a structured starting point, not a certification. Always do manual testing with real assistive tech and real users.
Can I ask M.ai follow-up questions about my report? Yes. The report includes a context payload you can paste into M.ai to ask detailed questions about specific findings.
Why no accounts or history? v0 is validation mode. Once we see demand, we’ll add saved reports, team sharing, and paid tiers.
